Fortis Defender SK (Super Kompakt)

The Defender SK has been developed to be the ultimate compact weapon in Home Defence. Easy to handle, very affordable to maintain, the SK is an excellent tool for use inside your house for home defence.

The SK has an overall length of +-43cm, and weighs approximately 2.1kg fully assembled (including gas & 100 rounds ammo).

Review

The defender SK (Super Kompakt) is the most compact gas gun in our range, followed by the K (Kompakt). The difference between the K and SK is a fold up stock on the K, lending it enhanced capability of increased accuracy above that of the SK when using the stock, as well as increased barrel length and a shroud on the K to enhance its looks.

The intimidation factor of the K is higher based on the increased “action” look of both the barrel shroud and the fold up stock.

Although the muzzle velocity of the projectiles on the SK and K are above 310fps, they are also the lowest in our gas gun range. The SK and K are intended for close quarter use in the house at a distance of no further that 10 meters, although accurate and effective firing has been tested to a maximum distance of 20 meters.

Both are highly capable in stopping intruders in an instant.   Both have a magazine capacity of 100, and the 4 ounce CO2 cannister delivers 180 shots. Both guns are light and easily manoeuvrable. Because the K has the added option of the use of a stock, it is a more versatile gas gun. For accessories like a tactical torch or laser both on the SK and K, a 45 degree offset rail is a must in keeping the field of vision unobstructed. Sometimes the offset rail and accessory can feel “in the way” but is quickly overcome by practising with, and getting used to your gas gun.

The person going for the SK or K is one which considers the advantageous in indoor use of the guns, as well as its lightweight and ease of use in the close quarter environment. The SK and K has great advantages over the rest of the range in terms of compactness and weight.
